Early Dismissal
L.B. Morris Elementary School will be on an Early Dismissal on Friday, October 9th, 2026. Students will dismiss at 12:30pm
School Closed
L.B. Morris Elementary School will be CLOSED on Monday, October 12th, 2026 for Teacher In Service.
Winter Sports Physicals
LVHN - Jefferson Health is pleased to offer complimentary PIAA sports physicals for our athletes. Winter Sports physicals will be held at the High School nurse's office on Wednesday November 4th beginning at 5:00pm to 7:30pm
Boys Basketball -5:00-5:45 Grades 7-12
Girls Basketball -5:45-6:20 Grades 7-12
Boys Wrestling -6:20-7:00 Grades 7-12
Girls Wrestling -7:00-7:30 Grades 9-12
Sections 1-5 of the physical form must be completed and turned in at the time of the physical. Section 6 will be completed by the physician. All students will need to have a completed physical on file to be able to start Winter sports practices.
If you wear glasses or contacts please bring them for the vision screening portion of the exam.
The first official day for Winter Sports practices is November 20th.

Pick Up Patrol
PickUp Patrol is used to notify the school if your child is absent.
PickUp Patrol eliminates the need to write notes or make phone calls when changing your student's dismissal plans.

School Times
School starts at 8:35am and ends at 3:10pm
Attendance Rules
All school-aged students are expected to attend school regularly, in accordance with state laws.
Attendance Requirements:
● Students are expected to be in school by 8:35 AM or will be marked as tardy. ○ After 3 tardies, parents will be notified via disciplinary referral (infraction).
● Parents and guardians are required to enter attendance changes in Pick-up Patrol by 9:00AM and complete the parent note section with the excuse for absence or send in a written note for the absence within 3 school days after returning to school. Phone calls will NOT excuse absences. ○ State law requires that parents/guardians produce written explanations of absence, late arrival, or early dismissal of a student. ○ Unexcused absences will become unlawful and may result in a summary conviction for a violation of compulsory school attendance laws. ○ Unexcused absences and/or tardiness for all students may result in school disciplinary action in accordance with the "Student Discipline Policy."
Excuses must be for one of the permissible reasons for absence.
● After 3 successive days of absence, a doctor's excuse is required. If a doctor's note is not provided, these absences will then be considered unlawful.
